Nissan’s 350Z had to wait until its final year to be officially bedecked in NISMO gear, but the company is wasting no time with this generation, coming to market with a slammed, stiffened version of its delectable two-seater.
As before, the NISMO starts with a base Z coupe—redesigned for 2009 and promoted to 370Z on account of the larger, 3.7-liter engine—and throws a full parts catalog at, on, and under it. Immediately noticeable are the new front and rear fascias and the rear spoiler. The fascias are said to be tuned in a wind tunnel, and combine to stretch the car more than seven inches in length. Less obvious are the unique side sills and 19-inch RAYS wheels, wrapped in Yokohama Advan Sport rubber.
